The Insane story about the SuperCentennial and President Trump

The story of God speaking to me about calling our 250th America’s “SUPERCENTENNIAL” is almost too much to be believed. But it really happened. Earlier this year I got a very exciting idea. It genuinely FELT like God was giving me the idea, and the idea was to call America’s 250th our “SuperCentennial”. The actual term is the “Semi-quincentennial” which NO ONE is going to remember or say, least of all President Trump. So when I got the idea I had a burning desire to share it with the president, thinking that it really was an idea that God gave me for HIM — and for the whole country for next year.
But if that’s true, God would have to open the door to my sharing it with the president. I very very rarely get to shake his hand, much less share an idea with him. He’s a little busy, in case you haven’t noticed. But I knew that if the idea really was God’s idea, God would make the meeting possible, and more importantly would make the president like the idea enough to go with it — and to rename our 250th “The SuperCentennial”! What are the odds? Let’s face it, they are preposterously low. But if it’s really God, then it will happen. That much I knew.
And sure enough three weeks ago I found myself in the presence of President Trump. I’m on his Religious Liberty Commission and he unexpectedly decided to show up to one of our meetings and give a speech. Just before that we had a group photo, and AFTER the group photo the president graciously said he’d love a photo with each of the commissioners. So Dr. Phil and Franklin Graham and Ben Carson and Cardinal Dolan and Bishop Baron and each of us got a photo. Before it was my turn I prayed, because I knew there would be no way in a few seconds to communicate the whole idea. And then I just started flapping my gums for about forty seconds. But the president seemed to like the idea, although I assumed he was just being gracious. What was he supposed to say?
But when he gave his speech a few minutes later — with FoxNews and the world watching — he said what he said in this video. I thought I was dreaming. I still feel like I was dreaming. First he teases me about my tv show, and then he decides ON THE SPOT to make the change, and to tell the world.
So what’s the takeaway of the story? Two things. First, GOD IS REAL. He sometimes speaks to us, and wants us to KNOW that He’s speaking to us. You can read more about that in my book MIRACLES. He wants to speak to you, too! Don’t doubt that.
Second, we should be excited about next year being America’s SUPERCENTENNIAL. As I write in my book IF YOU CAN KEEP IT, America is God’s idea. He wants to use this country for His purposes in history, to bless the whole world. So I am telling the folks in the White House that whenever we say America’s SUPERCENTENNIAL 1776-2026 we should also ALWAYS say “God Bless America!” Next year is going to be a very very important year in our history, and God is blessing this nation for His purposes.
