Augustus the Ant

Augustus was an army ant
Whose hero was Ulysses Grant.

He bore a host of battle scars
And wore at least five silver stars;

And when his foes were all around
Augustus always stood his ground;

But when Augustus marched about
his foes were always put to rout.

And when the day at last was won,
he’d sit and watch the setting sun,

And wonder what Ulysses Grant
Would make of such a fearless ant.
